Small Blood Vessel Vasculitis

Small-vessel vasculitis affects the tiniest blood vessels in the body, such as capillaries, venules, and arterioles. Because these vessels supply critical tissues like the skin, kidneys, lungs, and nerves, inflammation can lead to rashes, breathing problems, kidney changes, or nerve symptoms. The specific type of small-vessel vasculitis determines which organs are most affected and guides treatment.

Note: Each has its own pattern (for example, asthma and eosinophilia in EGPA), but treatment principles overlap.
